Big Winner

Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu (born April 19, 1990) was born in Tacloban, Leyte and grew up in Cebu City. Kim Chiu was first known as the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition and is now an actress in ABS-CBN shows.

She portrayed Poknat/Jasmine in Sana Maulit Muli that secured as one of the country’s most watched programs, which also co-stars Gerald Anderson.

Chiu and Anderson appeared together in several shows of ABS-CBN, bagged commercial endorsements,and was formally introduced in the silver screen via their first movie, First Day High. Marking their first anniversary in show business is their first starring movie I’ve Fallen For You which premiered September 26, 2007 under Star Cinema.

Not long after that, she was given a break in the recording industry. Under Star Records her first album Gwa Ai Di was released mid of 2007.

They are currently regular performers on ASAP ‘08 and recently a cast in the Prime Time Drama “Maligno” with Gerald Anderson and Claudine Barretto.

 

The Big Four

On June 3, 2006 at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, Kim Chiu was crowned the runaway winner of the first Teen Edition, garnering 41.4% (or about 600,000) of the final votes cast since Day 29. Mikee Lee came in second with 20.7%, while Gerald Anderson in third with 19.4%. Clare Cabiguin was the first to come out among the final four, garnering 18.5%. A record 1,512,218 votes were cast in the Big Night.

The Teen Big Four entered in a boat and was escorted to a waiting room. Soon the winners were declared one after the other. The Big Night was entitled A Fairy Tale Finale, therefore all the sets and costumes were fairy tale related. The final four were also addressed as princes and princesses.

The finale also marked Toni Gonzaga’s return to the show as host.
